Black cats at Craft Victoria

What do they say about black cats and bad luck?
Give one to your ex or anyone who has done you WRONG!
If you don't believe in all that nonsense and want one for yourself head down to Craft Vic in Flinders Lane.

Micro pots

We are working on a selection of micro pots that are so small that they fit in the palm of your hand.
The tallest stands just under 7cm and they work well as specimen vases for the tiniest of buds from the garden.

Photos by Kim Ryan
I like the way the positioning of the figurines appears to change their relationships and how they interact with each other.

White Christmas at Craft Victoria

We made 12 of these freestanding objects, all one of a kind, for Craft Victoria's "White Christmas". We avoided bending the wire into typical Christmas shapes, hoping instead that whoever bought them would keep them out on display all year round.

Clusters of Klei

We know a series of vessels is complete when there isn't any more room to display them on our side table.

New works at Magnolia Square

Here is a preview of some new figurines that will make their debut at Magnolia Square.
The event runs from the 22nd to 24th of November at the Malvern Town Hall. It is a roomier venue than past fairs so there will be lots to of new things to see. Barbara and I did it together last time so we could take turns shopping and minding the stand.
Check out their website for opening times and a detailed list of traders.

Girl with bird

This figurine, by Barbara van Oost, is available from Birds Gallery in Melbourne. They also stock a large selection of our new jewellery.
If you are near Kew its worth checking the beautiful works by a select group of local and international artists that they represent.

Funghi pots

These pots make me think of mushrooms pushing their heads up through the earth.
Like mushrooms they look their best in small clusters.
All these pots were burnished just before they dried which makes them feel so smooth to touch.

Facets

The angles in these pendants were hand sanded. Very Messy work.
We glazed the inside rim and left the facets matt. I like the way the middle section catches the light.
They are strung on a thick stainless steel cable.

Vessels

Mini

I am really happy with how these things turned out.
Not sure what they are, but they make me happy.
I've noticed people like rearranging them into different patterns, but this is how I like them to sit.
Barbara totally disagrees.
Did I mention they are only about 7cms tall.
